World Fellows

To create a global network of emerging leaders and to broaden international understanding at Yale, the Yale World Fellows Program brings 15 highly accomplished men and women from a diverse set of countries to New Haven each year. The Fellows spend an intensive semester exploring critical issues and undergoing leadership training, with the full resources of Yale University at their disposal.

Since the start of the program in 2002, the World Fellows Program has welcomed 56 World Fellows from Africa, from countries including South Africa, Nigeria, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Liberia, Libya, Zimbabwe, Malawi, Morocco, Namibia, Sao Tome and Principe, Sierra Leone, Uganda, and Sudan.
